FOODS THAT INCREASE YOUR EYESIGHT!!!!
Your vision quality is determined by several different factors, but you may not be aware that your overall health and diet can either help or hurt your eyesight. Tired of wearing glasses and contact lenses? Well most of the people who are cursed with weak eyesight experience the same frustration. Well, certain foods containing specific vitamins, minerals, and flavonoids can stave off eye damage. Foods that contain omega-3 fatty acids; vitamins A , C and E, zinc and carotenoids are all credited with protecting the eyes. Most of the vegetables, fruits, nuts, meat and fish all naturally contain some of these powerful nutrients. Having a healthy diet will not necessarily change your vision quality but eating whole foods can help you uphold healthy vision and fend off health problems
DIET: Even if you have a 20-20 vision, there are certain foods that maintain your eye health.
LEAFY GREENS: Leafy green vegetables are packed with lutein and zeaxanthin which are anti oxidants that helps lower the risk of developing macular degeneration and cataracts.
CARROT: Carrot and other orange colored vegetables and fruits promote eye health and protect vision. Beta- carotene a type of vitamin A that gives these foods their orange hue, helps the retina and other parts of the eye to function properly.
ACAI: Acai berries are full of vitamins and anti oxidants. Acai is loaded with vitamins A and C. This antioxidant rich food protects the retina from free radical damage.
EGGS: The yolk is a primary source of lutein and zeaxanthin and zinc which helps reduce your macular degeneration risk and hence increase your eyesight.
GRAPEFRUIT: Grape fruit is a popular citrus fruit that is a terrific source of vitamins, fiber and other nutrients. Grape fruit is known for its anti oxidant and immunity boosting capabilities. Grape fruit helps increase your eye sight vision.
BLUEBERRIES: Blueberries may help to reduce your risk of cataracts, glaucoma, heart disease, cancer and other conditions. Anthocyanin- rich blueberries, grapes have anti- oxidant and anti- inflammatory properties that can help improve your vision. Eating blueberries regularly improves vision and strengthens blood vessels in the back of the eye.
HOMEREMEDY:
ALOEVERA, LEMON and WALNUT: The mixture of aloe juice, lime juice, walnuts and honey is known to work wonders on your eyesight by nourishing the optic nerves to a great extent. This mixture provides the necessary required to keep your optic system healthy, thereby improving your eyesight.
Dos:
- Take enough rest, since sleep allows overworked muscles to relax completely. So shoot for 8 hours of sound sleep at night.
- Drink a lot of water if your eyes are often dry, blurry or tired.
- Eat foods rich in vitamin A, C, lutein and beta carotene as they help repair the eyes.
- Try resting your eyes for at least ten minutes for every fifty minute you spend in front on any electronic device.
- Take a mini nap. Put your head back, close your eyes and relax for 3 minutes.
- Give a short break to your eyes once an hour at least during your working day.
- Avoid sugary foods as they are bad for eyes.
Ocular (nutrition that is required for preservation of vision) nutrition is essential for maintaining eye health and vision. Proper diet routine can help prevent a number of eye diseases and vision problems. Eye Exercises that Improve your EYESIGHT!!!!
Your vision quality is determined by several different factors, but you may not be aware that your overall health and diet can either help or hurt your eyesight. Tired of wearing glasses and contact lenses? Well most of the people who are cursed with weak eyesight experience the same frustration.
EXERCISES: Instead of powerful glasses one should practice eye exercise regularly for a few minutes for the normal functioning of eyes.
BLINK YOUR EYES: Sit comfortably and blink your eyes for around 10- 15 times rapidly. Then close your eyes and relax for about 20- 25 seconds. Repeat this exercise for about 5-6 times a day.
VIEW SIDEWAYS: Sit comfortably at look at a point straight in front of you. Then keep your head straight and look at your extreme left then to your extreme right. Repeat this exercise 10-20 times. Close your eyes and rest.
ROTATIONAL VIEWING: Sit comfortably and keep your head still. Then look at the four corners of your room. Repeat this clockwise and anti clockwise direction. Close your eyes and relax.
NEAR AND FAR VIEW: Hold a pen at arm’s length, focus your eye on it, and slowly bring the pen closer until it’s about 6 inches away from your nose. Then slowly move it back, keeping your eyes focused on the pen, 10 times in all.
WARMING: Rub your palms together for heat and then place them against your eyes for 5- 10 minutes. Repeat the same procedure three times to keep your eyes warm.
FIGURE 8: Imagine a giant figure 8 on the floor, about 10 feet in front of you. Trace the figure 8 with your eyes slowly. Trace it one way for a few minutes and then trace it the other way for a few minutes.
MASSAGE: this will help improve blood circulation around your eyes. Apply a hot or cold compress; soak a towel in warm water and a towel in cold water. Place the warm towel on your face and drape it around your face. After 3 minutes remove the wram towel and place the cold towel on your face. Alternate it making sure you end up the massage with the cold compress.
